The word bicycle first appeared in English print in The Daily News in 1868, to describe “Bysicles and trysicles” on the “Champs Elysées and Bois de Boulogne”.

The Merida eOne-Sixty 9000 Electric Mountain Bike is designed to bring the best of dual-suspension trail bikes and electric bikes to the same world.

Shimano XT Hydraulic, 4-piston disc brakes will give you amazing braking control, even on rough terrain and fast descents, while the 11-speed gearset, run by durable the LinkGlide drivetrain, will help make those climbs that bit easier.

The mullet design, with a 29er in the front and 27.5Ó in the rear, offers the best of both worlds, allowing you to roll over obstacles with ease, while giving you a bike that is nimble and fun to flick around.

The innovative Merida Expert TR through-axle features a removable axle lever, which, when inserted into the axle, allows you to easily loosen or tighten the axle, and when removed it works as a 4mm Allen key, ready to go for any on-the-trail adjustments needed.

The details on this bike have been carefully selected, even down to the tyres. With the Maxxis Assegai on the front, featuring Maxxis’ most aggressive downhill tread for grip, and a DHR II on the rear to help the bike roll over obstacles, this gives you maximum traction combined with playful riding characteristics.
