Orbea has introduced the PAS Sensor to the Gain lineup. PAS is integrated into the rear wheel motor and cassette to monitor every pedal stroke – with 40 pulses per cycle – and determine when, how and how much to deliver power to your ride, resulting in fewer lags in power delivery when riding conditions change.

The EbikeMotion X35 Plus motor transmits reliable and balanced pedal assist to improve your rides without taking over and making them too easy. The torque simulation algorithm helps match power input with each pedal stroke to generate what Orbea calls Enough Energy Concept Рnot too much, not too little. There are three levels of pedal assist with a max speed of 20 miles per hour before the motor decides you‚Äö√Ñ√¥re fast enough to hold your own.

The Orbea Gain D40 features internally routed cables to keep the look of the bike crisp while also boosting aerodynamics. Integrated lights on the back of the seat clamp and built into the bike computer mount add yet another touch of class while also aiding air flow. The iWoc ONE interface and display allow convenient data monitoring and push-button control.

With only one external cable connection – under the chainstay connecting the battery tube and the real wheel motor, changing tires is simplified.

Built on a lightweight alloy frame with Shimano Tiagra components, the Orbea Gain D40 has a 2×10 speed drivetrain to embrace its road design heritage.
